iFixit Looks into iPhone Duo Screen Cracks
The tech website iFixit has examined the new iPhone Duo after users reported problems with its screen cracking. After taking the phone apart, they have suggested two main ideas about why this might be happening.
iFixit noticed that a middle support piece might not move down enough when the phone is closed. They also think the curved rail of the hinge might not slide back correctly. These issues could put too much pressure on the screen in one spot, causing it to crack, especially near the hinge. The problems seem to happen in the same place on different phones.
However, iFixit stated that more testing is needed to be absolutely sure these are the exact causes. Despite these potential issues, iFixit gave the iPhone Duo a good repair score, saying it's easier to fix than other foldable phones they have tested.
