Jordan Strikes Syria After Church Attack; Border Closed
Jordan has attacked targets inside Syria in response to a recent church attack. This action has caused Syria to close an important border crossing used for people and trade.
Earlier, Jordanian security forces arrested three men, including two brothers and their brother-in-law, who were believed to be involved in the church attack. Officials stated these suspects were found hiding in a building near where the attack happened. The suspects were all Jordanian citizens. Jordan's Interior Minister confirmed they were being investigated for the attack.
Syrian authorities announced the immediate closure of the Nassib border crossing, which is the only one connecting the two countries. They stated this was to ensure the safety of travelers and workers, and that they are investigating the incident with Jordan.
